How Does VASER® Hi-Def Lipo Work?
Here’s what you can expect from your VASER® Hi-Def Lipo treatment:
- Before treatment begins, a saline solution is injected into the treatment area. This numbs and shrinks the blood vessels in the area, minimizing the patient’s chance of bleeding.
- Small probes are then inserted into the treatment area. These probes deliver ultrasound energy that loosens the surrounding fat cells while leaving other tissues unharmed.
- These fat cells mix with the previously injected saline solution and are then removed from the body through a small, thin tube.
- Each treatment takes about an hour to complete.
- The most intense discomfort is felt 1-3 days after surgery.
- Patients should avoid strenuous activity for 2-3 weeks after surgery. Full recovery can take up to four weeks.
